With her A1.4 French class, our teacher Valentine explored travel memories and the Impressionist movement. As part of this project, she invited her students to use artificial intelligence to create their own artwork inspired by Impressionism. It was a creative way to combine language learning, art, and technology while encouraging them to express their personal travel experiences.

really got into the spirit, and it was a joy to see.

I am in my fifth year of adult French classes and workshops at AF. Without exception all my professors have been highly experienced,
professional teachers – native speakers – with excellent French language teaching technique. They are always well prepared for each class,
enthusiastic and patient. The teaching materials used are very effective and up to date.
I unequivocally recommend AF for whatever your level of French may be – beginner to advanced. As an added attraction, you will invariably
meet interesting and fun people amongst your fellow students.
Eric fait partie de ma vie depuis 6 ans. Il a été mon professeur de français à travers plusieurs maisons, emplois et événements majeurs de la vie. Grâce à Eric, je suis passée de débutante à B2. Je me sens à l'aise pour visiter la France et avoir des conversations complexes avec des francophones. Même si je n'habite plus à Dallas, je n'étudierai jamais avec un autre professeur. Je ne peux pas imaginer ma vie ou mon apprentissage du français sans Eric. Je me sens très chanceuse d'être son élève.

I have taken classes, primarily private lessons, at AF of Dallas since 2019 and have acquired so much French. As a professor of multilingual studies, I have been able to plan and lead study abroad trips to Quebec City with my students. It has been wonderful to use my French language skills in a real world environment and see how the classes have paid off! Patricia Kouadri, my professor, has been amazing, providing me opportunities to engage in conversation as well as apply grammar and language structures to my speaking and writing. She prepared me so well to take and pass the B1 exam! Because of my growing French language abilities, I have more opportunities to expand my research to Europe.
Being back in the classroom, both virtual and in person, at the age of 57 is a JOY. I’m so grateful for the opportunities afforded me and
for the teachers who work so hard to provide interesting classes and workshops. I’ve met so many lovely, interesting people in class and
learned about an enormous variety of topics: the French language, cuisine, culture, the Francophone world, art, music, even the story of a
very brave wartime pigeon…
