In partnership with the Alliance Française de Dallas, SULÉKÓ invites you to join us on a scented voyage to discover l’Immortelle de Corse, a flower native to Corsica!

The Scented Voyage includes:

> A ‘scent kit’ will be mailed to you before the class, containing:
Discover the different facets and stages of processing the flower’s scent: at its natural state, distilled, and when it is used by a perfume designer to narrate a story.
About the class:
Corsica is a large island located in the South of France. Imagine a mountain, fallen from the skies into the Mediterranean Sea...In summer, the island is covered by Immortelle flowers and enchanting scent. We want you to experience this magical moment through the eyes of a passionate perfume designer!
We will first tell you about the Immortelle flower; its story, how and where it grows. Then we will share with you three of our favorite trails in Southern Corsica to discover the Immortelle flower: we will first start in the maquis above Porto Vecchio, the famous Corsican scrubland, then we will explore the salt marsh of Porto from Porto Vecchio to Bonifacio, Vecchio at the mouth of river Fiume Stabiaccu, and finally we will hike on the shores of Bonifacio and across the magical Lavezzi Islands (a natural reserve).
This visual voyage will fully immerse you into Southern Corsica and together we will unlock the scented atmosphere of each trail. You will then discover how climate, location and soil impact your perception of the Immortelle flower.
Finally, we will show you how the Immortelle flower is processed to obtain a precious “absolute” essence that will be used for perfume creation. You will learn about the language of scents and the secret messages locked in the scent of the Immortelle flower. We aim to bring the beauty and poetry of Corsica in full bloom to your home and hopefully inspire you to visit it yourself one day!
About Anastasia Sokolow:
I uncovered the world of perfume when I joined the Yves Saint Laurent Beauté marketing team in New York. Back in Paris, I immersed myself into this universe; I studied the history of Perfume at the Osmothèque (French Conservatory of Perfumes) and followed high-level training on perfume composition at ISIPCA. Seven years ago, I decided to pursue my dream and I launched Sulékó, a Perfume House, merging Perfume and French Artistic Craftsmanship. My creations have been featured in Forbes, FT, Vogue... I also teach the Sulékó language of scents through in person and online classes. The world of scents is fabulous and mysterious, it brought a lot of joy into my life; I now wish to share my knowledge and my passion with you and invite you to experience the joy of exploring the world around you through your sense of smell! About SULÉKÓ:
SULÉKÓ reflects the approach of a Russian perfumer who emigrated to France after the Revolution: Konstantin Weriguine. He worked alongside Ernest Beaux at Bourjois-Chanel. In his book, “Souvenirs et Parfums” (“Memories and Perfumes”), he describes beautifully the scents of Russia: the smell of the snow, the black earth (tchernoziome), the big Easter festivals…and defines each season as a combination of specific scents. SULÉKÓ was inspired by this approach and created four universes defined olfactive, but also emotionally: SULÉKÓ WINTER, SULÉKÓ SPRING, SULÉKÓ SUMMER and SULÉKÓ FALL. Each universe matches a specific state of mind, a personality or a phase of our life.
