La Galette des Rois

We had a wonderful time celebrating Epiphany with our traditional galette des rois! It was a great opportunity to learn more about this beloved French tradition—its history, its symbols, and of course, the fun of finding the fève. The atmosphere was warm and lively, with engaging conversations entirely in French. Between sharing delicious cake and exchanging stories, everyone enjoyed practicing the language in a relaxed and joyful setting. A truly delightful moment of culture, learning, and community!

Holiday Party 2025

What an incredible evening — the perfect way to wrap up a beautiful and inspiring year at the Alliance Française de Dallas. The room was filled with such warm energy, laughter, and genuine connections. Seeing our community come together to celebrate the season truly reminded us why we love what we do.

A very special thank you to Chefs Laurent Poupart and Xavier Grenet for the exquisite French menu that made the night unforgettable. Their talent and generosity brought a festive touch of France to our celebration, and everyone absolutely loved it.

Pétanque in Texas

Our pétanque initiation was an absolute hit!

From learning the rules to tossing our first boules, it was all about fun, friendly competition, and lots of laughter. Everyone jumped in with great energy, cheering each other on and enjoying the simple pleasure of playing together. It wasn’t just about the game—it was about sharing a joyful moment, connecting, and having a fantastic time.

Bastille Day

An unforgettable evening at Bastille on Bishop On Monday, July 14th, we celebrated Bastille Day in the heart of Oak Cliff—with wine in hand, live music in the air, and so much joie de vivre. More than just a street festival, Bastille on Bishop is a tribute to Oak Cliff’s French roots. Back in the 1850s, this neighborhood was home to La Réunion, a utopian French colony built on the ideals of liberté, égalité, fraternité—and it still carries that spirit today. Grateful for a magical night full of energy, community, and celebration. Until next year!
