Culture & Conversation Series: A Passion for World War II with Barry Kemball-Cook

-
Plano

Join us for a captivating installment of our Culture and Conversation series with Barry Kemball-Cook, one of our very own students at the Alliance Française de Dallas, who is kindly welcoming us to his home for this event.

Barry will take us on a personal journey through his lifelong passion for World War II history—from collecting rare artifacts to participating in immersive reenactment tours across Europe.

He will share how his collection began, featuring uniforms, medals, documents, and other historical pieces that together bring the past to life. He will also discuss his experience as a WWII reenactor since 2000, with a special focus on his involvement in the “2nd Armored in Europe” group, which organizes historically accurate reenactment tours in France and beyond.

Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply curious about this unique approach to cultural memory and preservation, this event offers a fascinating perspective on one man’s dedication to honoring history.

This presentation is especially meaningful for those preparing for their upcoming trip to Saint-Malo, but it is open to everyone interested in history, memory, and cultural preservation.

📍 Location: Plano, at Barry’s home
(The exact address will be shared privately with confirmed participants)
