In Nuits d’été à Brooklyn, a young French Jewish intern in New York, Esther, becomes involved with Frederick, a married Black
literature professor, during the tense summer of 1991 in Brooklyn. Their fragile romance is swept up in real racial and community unrest
following a tragic accident and ensuing riots, forcing Esther to confront love, prejudice, and the painful divisions of the world around
