Film Summary – La Famille Bélier
La Famille Bélier is a heartwarming French comedy-drama that tells the story of Paula, a 16-year-old girl who is the only hearing
member of her family, all of whom are deaf. As an essential link between her parents, her younger brother, and the outside world, Paula
carries many responsibilities at a young age. When she discovers her remarkable singing talent and is encouraged to audition for a
prestigious music school in Paris, she must face a difficult choice between supporting her family and pursuing her own dreams.
Both funny and deeply moving, the film explores themes of family, identity, independence, and the power of music.
