BAMBINS I (2-3yo)

Bambins 1 (2-3yo)-IN PERSON

BAMBINS

Upon completion of the Bambins I (2-3yo) level, your child should be able to:

SEMESTRE 1

  • Recognize and respond to familiar French words (colors, animals, food, family).
  • Participate in simple greetings (bonjour, au revoir, merci).
  • Join in songs, rhymes, and classroom routines.
  • Point to or name a few objects in French.
  • Experience French traditions and cultural celebrations (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Noël).

SEMESTRE 2

  • Recognize and use French words for winter, clothing and la Galette des Rois
  • Learn vocabulary for pancakes, polar animals, and La Chandeleur.
  • Explore spring words like flowers, plants, sun, rain, and butterflies
  • Name Easter-related items such as eggs, bunnies, chicks, and baskets.
  • Use French words for fruits, sunshine, and market play during warm weather activities.

Bambins 2 (3-4yo)-IN PERSON

BAMBINS

Upon completion of the Bambins II (3-4yo) level, your child should be able to:

SEMESTRE 1

  • Understand and use simple classroom phrases: je veux, c’est à moi, regarde, écoute.
  • Use greetings with short phrases: Bonjour, je m’appelle ___.
  • Identify and describe familiar people and objects with one or two adjectives: maman grande, ma petite maison, citrouille orange.
  • Participate more actively in songs, dances, finger plays and stories
  • Recognize French cultural traditions (Noël) with more context.
  • Follow simple instructions: prends, donne, range, choisis, chante, danse, assis, debout ect

SEMESTRE 2

  • Recognize and use vocabulary related to winter, clothing, food traditions (galette, crêpes) and spring animals.
  • Begin forming mini-sentences: “J’ai une pomme”, “Je mets mon manteau”, “Il neige.”
  • Describe weather and sensations: froid, chaud, il pleut, il neige.
  • Name and classify animals, foods, plants and objects.
  • Participate in simple imaginative play (market, restaurant, farm, bakery).
  • Take part in cultural celebrations: La Galette des rois, La Chandeleur, Pâques.
BAMBINS III (4-5yo)

Bambins 3 (3.5-5yo)-IN PERSON

BAMBINS

Upon completion of the Bambins III (4-5yo) level, your child should be able to:

SEMESTRE 1

By December, children should be able to:

  • Use full greetings, introduce themselves, and answer simple questions.
  • Use descriptive vocabulary (size, colors, emotions, positions).
  • Follow short instructions using classroom verbs: découpe, colle, choisis, range, écoute, répète, montre moi…
  • Retell the main ideas of simple stories (with visual cues).
  • Describe family members and familiar environments using adjectives.
  • Understand and participate in cultural celebrations (more story-based).

SEMESTRE 2

By May, children will be able to:

  • Use vocabulary from expanded themes: body parts, emotions, weather, animals, bakery, transportation, professions, nature…
  • Form simple sentences with subject + verb + object:
  • Ask and answer simple questions
  • Participate in sophisticated pretend play (market, doctor, restaurant).
  • Use early connectors: et, puis, après.
  • Use functional language: j’ai fini, encore, aidez-moi, je veux essayer.

BAMBINS II [3.5 and 4 yo]

A playful French language class focused on basic French vocabulary, songs, movement and games. Children learn French naturally through repetition, stories, art and music. We build first words, simple expressions, listening skills, turn taking, routine and confidence.
No class on March 21st & May 23rd
