French classes for adult Beginners – (A1 to A2)

Beginners Level 1 – Courses 101, 102 and 103

You will be able to :

  • understand and use familiar everyday expressions and basic phrases aimed at satisfying basic needs.
  • introduce yourself and others; ask and answer questions about personal details such as where you live, people you know and things you have.
  • interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

Lessons: Alter Ego 1, Unit 0 to Unit 9


Beginners Level 2 – Courses 201,202 and 203

New students with prior knowledge of French: Please take a placement test before registering.

You will be able to :

  • understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
  • communicate according to simple and routine tasks requiring simple and direct exchanges of information on familiar and routine matters.
  • describe, in simple terms, aspects of your background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

Lessons: Alter Ego 2, Dossier 1 et 9

 


Materials: Alter Ego 1 & 2

Required for A1 and A2 Basic User classes.
Includes textbook and workbook, with CD.

Registration:

An annual non-refundable $10 registration fee shall be paid at the time of registration or not later than the first day of class.

Please note that there will be no refund or credit for missed classes.
Make-up class remains at the sole discretion of teachers.
